The Frost theme is a WordPress block based theme created by Brian Gardner and the WP Engine team. The theme takes full advantage of the WordPress Full Site Editor experience. It’s easy for non-technical users to set up and adapt for different website designs.
Over the next few weeks I will post a series of videos to show you how to use the Frost theme, how to make changes, adapt it for different designs, and use it with WooCommerce.
For today’s tutorial, I am going to show how easy it is to install and activate the Frost WordPress theme on your website.
Text Instructions
To install the Frost WordPress theme, navigate to ‘Appearance > Themes’.

Click ‘Add New’.

This is going to take us into a search area where we can search the WordPress theme repository for a particular theme.
In the search field, type the term ‘Frost’ and click return on your keyboard.
The Frost WordPress theme will appear in the search result.
Hover over the theme and click ‘Install’. This will install the theme into the WordPress theme folder for your website.

Click ‘Activate’ to activate the theme on your website.

And Frost will now be the active theme on your website.
If you refresh the home page of your website and you are not seeing the Frost home page template, it’s likely that you have a static page set as your home page.
To fix this, navigate to ‘Settings > Reading’.
Change the ‘Your homepage displays’ option ‘Your latest posts’ and click ‘Save Changes’.

And that’s it!
